Early life of M. Ali Jinnah
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a prominent political leader and the founding father of Pakistan. He was Born on December 25, 1876, in Karachi (then part of British India). He had played a significant role in the creation of the independent state of Pakistan in 1947.
Family Background
Jinnah belonged to a pious and a prosperous Gujarati merchant family. He received his early education in Karachi, later moving to England for higher studies. He got the degree of Bar-at-Law from abroad and started law practice in Bombay (now Mumbai). Jinnah's entry into politics began when he joined the Indian National Congress, advocating for Hindu-Muslim unity. However, he soon got the idea of the Congress's approach and perceived marginalization of Muslim interests and left congress.
Jinnah's efforts for a separate Homeland
Jinnah became a key figure in the All India Muslim League, advocating for the rights of Muslims in a united India. His efforts to safeguard the rights of the Muslim minority led to the creation of the Lahore Resolution in 1940, which demanded the establishment of a separate Muslim state. This laid the foundation for the eventual formation of Pakistan.
As leader of the Muslim League, Jinnah played a crucial role in negotiations with the British and Congress leaders, ultimately leading to the creation of Pakistan on August 14, 1947. He became Pakistan's first Governor-General until his death.
Jinnah's vision and Pakistan
Jinnah's vision for Pakistan was a modern, democratic, and inclusive state where citizens of all religions and backgrounds could live in harmony. He passed away on September 11, 1948, just a year after Pakistan's independence. His legacy as the "Father of the Nation" is deeply ingrained in the history and identity of Pakistan, and he is remembered for his unwavering commitment to the principles of justice, equality, and religious freedom.
Death and Burial
M. Ali Jinnah famously known as Quaid-e-Azam died on 11 September 1948 . His mausoleum is in Karachi. All the people who go to the city of lights , Karachi, offer Fatheh at his tomb.
Birth Anniversary
The people of all over the world particularly the people of Pakistan will celebrate his 147 birthday on 25 December, 2023.
